About Me

I'm Jon. I'm in the web and software program at Western. I got interested in software development after I started learning to make mods for video games. I have also used the Game Maker engine to make a video game. One of my goals is to make phone apps. Initally on android and eventually on apple. My first goals in app development are to recreate simple apps that I like without any ads or data tracking. These would never be released. The next app development goal is to create a single app that comines all of the features I like into a single app. That way I will no longer need 50 apps with all of the redundant code that entails on my phone.

Currently, working make more time to make mods and games. I am looking into getting into unity or unreal engine development for games. Mainly because the program I'm enrolled in teaches C#. This is the coding language used by both Unreal and Unity. I am also looking to explore Rust. This is a newer coding language that proports to elimate some of the performance issues caused by other languages. Ultimately my goal is to become competent in multiple coding languages.
